Laura's Wax Museum

Laura's class did a unit on the Revolutionary War, and at the end of the unit they put on a Wax Museum of famous (and not so famous) figures from the era. The Wax Museum included such favorites as Betsy Ross, the Swamp Fox, Benjamin Franklin, Molly Pitcher, Capt. David Bushnell, Abigail Adams, King George III, Nathan Hale, Ethan Allan, and many others. See if you can spot some of them!

Laura was Abigail Adams! Aunt Megan and Mom went to the show, and it was great! The class got to pick their characters, and Laura got to pick first because she was the first to memorize all of the Biographies.

Laura's class divided into four groups called "taverns." Laura's group was the Golden Lion Tavern. The tavern included Laura -- Abigail Adams; Benji -- The Swamp Fox; Laura H. -- Sybil Luddington; and Christian -- Nathan Hale.

Laura H was Sybil Luddington, the female Paul Revere, who warned of the British burning Danbury.

Lizzie was Lydia Darrow, a revolutionary spy, who also ran a tavern.

Leah (in white) was Patience Wright, a revolutionary era artist, who doubled as a spy.

There were so many others, too many to list, but Laura will be happy to tell you about them all! Everyone learned a lot, and they did a great job!
